16 Sweet & Simple Women’s Ministry Games For Your Next Gathering
Are you looking for a way to spice up your Women’s Ministry events, retreats, or any gathering where fellowship, fun, and faith intertwine? Look no further!
I’m thrilled to share with you some of my favorite games and activities for deepening connections and sparking joy in your next Christian women’s event.
From tea parties to prayer breakfasts, these games are designed to bring laughter, bonding, and an uplifting spirit to your group.
Let’s dive into how each game can transform your gathering into a memorable occasion, creating a sanctuary of love, laughter, and shared faith.
1- Answer Fast
Quick thinking and speedy responses are the keys to success in “Answer Fast”. This game encourages lively interaction and hilarious moments as guests race to list three items in as many categories as they can before time runs out.
For your Women’s Ministry retreat or gathering, naturally, you want to make your categories related to Christianity or themes surrounding your event.
For example, you could choose categories such as “Biblical Women”, “Fruits of the Spirit”, or “Worship Songs”. This not only adds a fun element to the game but also reinforces faith-based knowledge and encourages deeper discussions about these topics.

2- Act it Out
Bring the stories of the Bible to life with “Act it Out”.
This charades-style game is a fantastic icebreaker, helping ladies shed any shyness and step into the shoes of biblical characters, promoting empathy, understanding, and, of course, a lot of giggles.
One person at a time will go to the front or center of the group and take a card with a Bible character or event written on it. They will then have to act out the character or scene without speaking, and the group will have to guess who or what they are.
This game can be played individually or in teams, and you can also add your own twist by having participants improvise a modern-day version of the character or story.

3- Try Not To Say
“Try Not To Say” challenges your group to avoid saying common Christian and biblical terms throughout the event.
It’s a delightful way to stay mindful of our words and promises plenty of “Oops!” moments that will keep everyone on their toes.
You’ll need a pack of clothespins for this game.
Here’s how it works:
Each person starts with two clothespins pinned to their shirt.
If one guest catches another saying the “magic word”, they take their clothespin.
Whoever has the most clothespins in their possession by the end of the event wins the game!
It’s a fun way to promote connection among your women’s ministry group – even if not everyone knows each other well!
4- Selfie Scavenger Hunt
Blend modern fun with fellowship in the “Selfie Scavenger Hunt”. This game takes you on an adventure, capturing moments with your sisters in Christ.
It’s a beautiful way to create memories and see the event through each other’s eyes.
Each guest is given a set of prompts for different selfies they need to collect with their smart phone.
Prompts range from “take a selfie with something pink” to “take a selfie with two other people.”
This is such a great game because it encourages everyone to mix, mingle and connect more than they would otherwise!

5- Find the Guest
“Find the Guest” is an excellent way for everyone to mingle and learn unique facts about each other. It’s not just a game; it’s a journey to discovering the diverse stories and backgrounds that enrich your ministry.

6- Scattered Categories
Test your knowledge and quick thinking with “Scattered Categories”, (also known as Scattergories).
This game asks your group to come up with items in specific categories related to faith, life, and everything in between, encouraging teamwork and creativity.
The challenge is the words they create must start with each of three or four letters!

7- Finish the Phrase
Finish the phrase is always a big hit at any women’s ministry tea party or retreat!
First, one lady is chosen to create the “answer key”, where she will write one word to “finish the phrase” based on each of several given words.
Once the answer key is created, all the other women fill out their game cards with their best guesses as to how the answer key was completed.
Whoever gets the most correct answers wins the game!

8- A to Z
If you want to fellowship with other women in an engaging and creative way, this “A to Z” game is sure to be a big hit!
The ladies will have one or two minutes to list women’s empowerment, Bible or Christian words, each starting with a letter from A to Z.
And the first to finish wins!
9- Make Some Words
Challenge your group with “Make Some Words”, where you unscramble letters from a larger word to make as many smaller words as you can in one minute.
Whoever has the most relevant words before time runs out wins the game.
10- Candy Dice
Created just for Christian women who want to fellowship with other women in an engaging and creative way, this “Roll A Candy Dice” game is sure to be a big hit!
**You will need to purchase dice and candy of your choice separately as they are not included**
Each player starts with four pieces of candy, and they will take turns rolling the dice.
Based on the result, they will follow instructions that will alter the number of candies in their possession.
The first person to ten pieces of candy wins the game.
11- Around the World
How well do your church ladies know other languages? Challenge them to this language-matching game called “Around The World”.
On one side is the phrase “The Lord Is My Shepherd” in a foreign language.
And on the other side is a list of the languages.
Their task is to match each translation with its correct language.
Sound easy? It’s NOT!
The first person to answer all questions correctly wins the game!

12- Word Scramble
Created just for Christian women who want to fellowship with other women in an engaging and creative way, this Christian Word Scramble game is sure to be a big hit!
Each player receives a game card that has a list of scrambled words. It’s their job to unscramble the letters as quickly as they can!
Sound easy? It’s actually more challenging than you may think – but that’s what makes it FUN! 🙂

13- Bible Trivia
Test your knowledge of Christian and biblical facts with this fun and engaging Bible Trivia game!
Each player receives a game card that has related questions, and their job is to guess the right answer. And whoever gets the most answers correct the quickest wins the game!
To promote interesting conversation, along with the answers, interesting facts are included.
This game is sure to be a big hit at your Women’s Ministry event, Ladies Fellowship dinner, tea party luncheon, or even a fellowship retreat!
14- True or False
Test your knowledge of Jesus Christ, the Bible, and Christianity in this fun and engaging True or False-style trivia game!
Each player receives a game card that has a list of true or false questions, and it’s their job to get the most right!
Whoever finishes the game first with the most correct answers – wins!
To make it more interesting, the answer key includes interesting facts and supporting information that just might surprise everyone!
15- Who Knows Jesus Best?
Test your knowledge of Jesus Christ and engage your Women’s Ministry group in a friendly feud to answer the question: “Who Knows Jesus Best?”
Each player receives a game card that has a list of questions about Jesus Christ and his life, and it’s their job to get the most right!
Whoever finishes the game first with the most correct answers – wins!
To make it more interesting, the answer key includes supporting information that may prompt discussion or further research.
It’s a lot of fun and educational too! 🙂
16- Pass The Prize Left To Right
Have fun with your Women’s Ministry, Bible study, or tea luncheon with this sentimental story that also functions as a cute and simple “pass the present or gift” game!
First, print either one copy and read the story aloud, or give each guest a copy to follow along.
Then, read the story. Where the story says “LEFT”, whoever holds the gift passes it to the left.
Where the story says “RIGHT”, the gift gets passed to the right.
Whoever holds the gift by the end of the story – wins! (And gets to keep it!)
This printable activity is a beautiful, memorable way to honor Jesus Christ as you connect with your church community, family or friends.
